Annual Conference
Our flagship event. Nine editions so far, each a full day of panels at NYU Law on the legal, economic and institutional issues shaping Brazil.
For ten years, the Brazilian Legal Society has brought together students and professionals at NYU School of Law who share an interest in Brazil.
Founded in 2016, BLS brings together current and former NYU Law students, faculty members, professionals and everyone interested in academic and business exchange between Brazil and the United States.
Our primary objective is to be a forum where Brazilian legal, political, economic, cultural and social issues can be openly addressed and discussed, through academic and business events in Brazil and abroad.
Over the past decade, many people have dedicated significant time and effort to building BLS and maintaining the high standard of its initiatives.

Our flagship event. Nine editions so far, each a full day of panels at NYU Law on the legal, economic and institutional issues shaping Brazil.

Lawyers, economists, regulators and academics on Brazil’s economic outlook, tax reform, enforcement, capital markets, fintech and green finance.

A networking lunch and a cocktail reception at the Annual Conference connect students with speakers from leading law firms and financial institutions.

Cross-border conversations that compare both systems, from enforcement trends in the U.S. and Brazil to international M&A and investment.

P茫o de queijo, coxinha and Brazilian hospitality: at the Annual Conference, we bring a taste of Brazil to NYU Law and celebrate it together.

A community of students and professionals at NYU Law who share an interest in Brazil, led by a board with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Join us at the next BLS Annual Conference, or become a member and help build the next ten years.
